I would have thought that by now more of my generation would be quicker - faster - smarter. Ready to start cutting in to the 'old guard' as it were. But it doesn't seem so. Some friends and associates really get it, most don't. I'm asked on a regular basis for information that I find in minutes with simple searches - and I end up being seen as a whiz - when in reality I know very little - I just know where to go to find the answer. Maybe it comes from having a librarian for a mother? How depressing - but it echoes my own anecdotal experiences.
